Very Special & Rare 1958 Series Land Rover SWB 88” – Is the basis of PROJECT 88 No 013
In Mid Grey with Elephant Print seats and a Sand Canvas – a meticulous nut and bolt rebuild.
This is a second-year production model, a Series 2 (not 2a), making it sought after and rare. Many components were carried over from a Series 1 vehicle, making it a highly collectible Series.
Very few cars were made in the stunning Mid Grey colour.
The previous owner completed a full nut and bolt rebuild, having known the car for over 30 years. The original chassis, dipped, repaired, and powder-coated, remains, making the vehicle eligible for export. Numerous exterior panels have been replaced.
The engine was fully rebuilt and runs perfectly.
Gear/transfer box was also stripped and overhauled.
The car sits on new tires, with factory-correct Michelins also available to return it to standard. The details are too extensive to list, and studying the images will reveal the high standard of restoration.
Beautifully restored by someone very familiar with Series Land Rovers, the car is kept very original and feels authentic.
